Referrals

An invite can be required to create an account. A referral code resolves to one personal margin account. The account creation transaction records referral attribution, and the user cannot change it afterward. The app displays the initial deposit needed to activate an account.

Closed alpha

Public signup through the app requires a valid referral. Email invitees can register without one. Either path requires at least $5 in confirmed USDC funding before the personal account is created. The account pays a $1 activation fee, so a $5 deposit leaves $4 available to trade.

Every eligible personal account can invite others, including users who joined through a referral. An email invitee who chooses a referral receives normal attribution. Anyone with a valid code can join through the app; the referrer does not need to approve each recipient.

Independent programmatic account creation requires confirmed funding but can omit a referral. See funded account creation.

Fee split

Referral value comes only from a taker trading fee that the referee paid. It does not mint new USDC and does not use a reward pool.

For each eligible fill:

  • The referrer receives 10% of the taker fee.
  • The referee receives a rebate equal to 4% of the taker fee.
  • The protocol receives the remaining fee.

The split settles on chain in the same fill. Earnings are immediately part of account collateral. There is no claim action, claim delay, or dust threshold. Integer rounding can make a small split zero.

Funding payments do not qualify. A normal taker fee charged during an order-book liquidation remains eligible.

Earn caps

The caps use the referee's lifetime trading volume and apply independently:

BenefitStops after the referee reaches
Referrer share$100,000,000 lifetime volume
Referee rebate$2,500,000 lifetime volume

Crossing one cap does not stop the other benefit before its own cap.

Eligibility

  • Attribution is single-level. A referrer earns only from direct referees.
  • The protocol rejects self-referral and referrals within one account family.
  • Only active personal margin accounts can take either referral role.
  • If a referrer is no longer eligible, the full fee follows the no-referral path.

Usernames contain 3 to 15 letters, numbers, or underscore characters. They are unique without regard to letter case. You cannot change a username after you claim it, so choose carefully.

You must own an active personal margin account to claim a username. Never rely on a displayed username alone for money movement. Verify the resolved account and the referral summary before creating the referred account.
